Rules and Regulations

Admission

  • The school has been established to cater to the educational requirements of the wards of Army Personnels. Consequently, Children of serving Army Personnel coming on transfer from out station will not be denied admission at any time of the year subject to availability of seat and quality and qualifying in the Entrance Examination.
  • The school admits boys and girls of above 5 years of age.
  • Admission to any class except class-I is made after a pre-admission test. A valid transfer certificate from the previous institution is a mandatory requirement for admission.
  • A student coming from another recognized school shall not be admitted to a class higher than the one in which he / she was studying at his / her former school, unless promoted to the next higher class at the end of the academic session.
  • No provisional admission is permitted under any circumstances.

Priorities of Admission

  • Children of serving Army personnel including DSC (Ex-Army), Children of Army widows, children of those TA personnel who have minimum of 5 years ambodied service and children of serving NCC whole time lady officer (WTLO).
  • Children of Ex-Army personnel retired/invalided out on medical grounds with pension, DSC personnel retired with pension from DSC and NCC whole Time Lady Officer (WTLO) retired with pension.
  • Children of serving Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
  • Children of retired Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
  • Children of Ex-Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 Years of service and not categorized as ESM.
  • Children of civilian paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Assam Rifles, MES, GREF, TA (when not ambodied).
  • Grand children of serving/retired Army personnel.
  • Other Children.

Registration For Admission

  • Registration for fresh admission opens normally in the first week of February.
  • For fresh admission, Registration forms duly filled must be submitted to the office before the closing date and a receipt obtained for the same.

The schedule for the Entrance Exam will be available on the school notice board.

Age Limit

For Admission to Class I the student should attain 6 years of age on 31st March.

Admission Test:

  • Std I.: No admission test (Only Interaction with the child).
  • Std II to V: English, Hindi and Math (One Composite Paper of two hours duration, conducted on a single day).
  • Std VI to VIII: English, Hindi, Maths & Science (One Composite paper of two hours duration conducted on single day).

Proof of Age

  • In case of Defence Personnel, extract of their record of services, (Part II order) duly attested by their Commanding Officer, will be accepted as a conclusive proof for age of their children.
  • Birth certificate issued by Military / Civilian Hospitals as well as Municipalities / Village Panchayats will also be accepted.
